  • We love McCall’s!!! My husband and I decided to go with McCall’s BBQ for our wedding on October 11. We spoke with Ms. Donna who helped us set up a time to meet and do a tasting before our wedding. The food was great and she was the sweetest so it was a no brainer to choose them for our big day. Since McCalls was about an hour away from the venue we were a little worried about freshness since we had fried chicken on the menu, but Ms. Donna and her staff fried everything on site! The fried chicken was amazing and was flavorful and moist. The mac and cheese was better than the tasting and the loaded mashed potatoes were the best. We also enjoyed the BBQ, hush puppies and all hors d’oeuvres!! Everything was affordable and Ms. Donna even brought her own staff to help serve! Thank you McCalls for helping make sure everyone left full and happy!!!

  • I saw a sign driving into town talking up the BBQ and knew where I was heading for lunch. McCall's didn't disappoint! Excellent buffet line, but I went with the smaller pulled pork sandwich. In a state with world famous BBQ, theirs was exceptional! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean as well. Highly recommend!

  • Finally started dining in when I realized it cost less and an abundance of dishes to choose from, including soup, breads, dessert and ice cream. 9/10/25 Wanted to get take out buffet since passing through, they are expensive, wanting $12.99 a pound. It would’ve cost me $31.75 so instead I dined in; cost almost $19. But I couldn’t finish most of my food and had to leave it. Wasted my money but I was not going to weigh my leftovers and pay twice. Meanwhile folks across from me made 3 trips to the bar so where’s the justification for over charging for a one trip take out?

  • I can't recommend this place enough. The food is phenomenal, the service is kind, you'll leave satisfied and sleepy. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the bbq, but thats not what I go for I go for all the other amazing food like the chicken pastry, deviled crab, fried shrimp, black eyed peas, collards, banana pudding and more. I'll go an hour out my way to stop by.

  • It was a nice homey feel to it. Sundays are packed but the food is worth the wait. Can't beat Carolina BBQ. And the trout was perfectly fried! Let me tell you i had 5 plates, though the yogurt was sour but it was sitting under a light.

  • Food was really good. Kids supposed to get free buffet on Wednesdays according to the paper but I got charged. Other than that it was good. Definitely will go back

  • Being a New Yorker, I wanted some real North Carolina food. I accompanied my friend to her hometown of Dudley, North Carolina, and she wanted to take me to this place since we arrived. Finally, we got there and it's a buffet style restaurant. You find an empty and sit down. You wait for a server to get your drink order and to hit the buffet. For a buffet style restaurant, the food is pretty good. I taste the claw chowder, and this was the first time I wasn't salty and chuck of clams. The chicken and fish were delicious with any sides you like is in there. The bonus is the dessert station.
